Since qualifying I have treated a full spectrum of people ranging from office workers to professional athletes. In fact for the last 6 years I have also been involved with teaching elements of the Chiropractic degree to the next generation of chiropractors at that same institution, a position which I genuinely love.
I passionately believe in getting to the root cause of the pain and not just treating the symptoms. To better be able to do this, since working in practice I have completed a wide range of post-graduate training including acupuncture, rehabilitation for runners, instrument assisted soft tissue techniques, sports taping and, my personal favourite, pregnancy care. All of these added techniques and additional knowledge mean that every patient I see has many options when it comes to a tailored and effective treatment plan.
Away from the clinic I am a proud father to our baby daughter and a Welsh International Panel hockey umpire and joint lead (with my wife!) for the umpire development program in Wales. I am most likely to be found on an astroturf pitch pretty much anywhere in England or Wales at weekends due to my active role as a level 3 umpire.
The impact of high-quality care genuinely amazed me, as it allowed me to pursue other sporting ventures such as rowing, mountain biking, skiing and weightlifting with higher levels of confidence in my physical health but most importantly, pain free! This inspired me to become a Chiropractor so I too can provide this type of impact on people’s lives.
Originally from a small seaside village in Ceredigion I take pride in my Welsh speaking abilities, please don’t hesitate to say ‘shwmae’ if you do too! Relocating to Swansea has allowed me to treat a broad range of patients, to assist this, I have completed numerous post-graduate training including acupuncture and sport taping. This increases the amount of treatment options available to each patient which allows me to create a specific treatment plan suitable for you.
I remain to be a massive advocate for rehabilitation, and look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
I graduated with first-class honours from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic and have further training in sports massage, medical acupuncture, and nutrition. My journey into chiropractic began with my own experience of chronic pain and hypermobility, which inspired me to shift from a career in the arts to one in healthcare. Chiropractic care transformed my life, enabling me to return to doing the things that I love, and gave me a passion for helping others do the same.
Originally from Hampshire, I moved to South Wales nearly ten years ago with my husband. We now enjoy a peaceful life on our smallholding in Carmarthenshire. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll likely find me powerlifting at the gym, exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside on horseback, or relaxing by the log-burner with a dog at my side and a cat on my lap. Heaven!
Our friendly receptionists are waiting to greet you and are ready to answer any questions you might have.
